Security
A
system provides network security if the data transmitted to and from the system is
invulnerable to interception, capture, and tampering. The VillageMall system delivers such network
security, from users’ PCs through to VillageMall application servers, via the use of
128-bit secured-socket layer (SSL) data encryption, and Microsoft's Windows integrated network security
services.
VillageMall’s network security is supplemented by additional security
protections, including a full certificate based infrastructure, also known as a
“digital ID.” VillageMall
provides a range of security services that allow each business to select appropriate
security services to match their risk profile.
