VillageMall® builds the business system for you (and for many other customers), and lets your company plug in when you need it. You pay for the services provided, not for the operation and maintenance of the entire infrastructure. All Services are subject to VillageMall's' Service Agreement.

Common
Each company account includes one standard employee access account unless otherwise stated. Each standard employee account,  has access to the range of VillageMall’s service functions, subject to their assigned role based privileges.  You receive nightly back-ups, all VillageMall software upgrades, payroll tax table updates, network access, and system maintenance. 
All Services are provided on a subscription basic; and hence transactions may only be processed starting  from the current financial year within which the subscription commenced.

Standard Technical Support
Customer is contacted by a VillageMall representative as soon as possible within 8 hours between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST Monday through Friday (excluding VillageMall recognised holidays) after receipt of the qualified inquiry during standard VillageMall  work hours and terms are met (see Customer care site).

Priority Technical Support
Customer is contacted by a VillageMall  representative as soon as possible within 4 hours between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST Monday through Friday (excluding VillageMall recognised holidays) after receipt of the qualified inquiry during standard VillageMall  work hours and terms are met (see Customer care site).

Small Business Discounts

VillageMall offers discounts for Australian small business owners and operators to help "level the playing field" with larger companies; small business discounts are limited to Australian owned and operated companies who have less than 20 employees (account is limited to a max of 20 access accounts), and have a turn over of less than $1M per year. In order to claim any offered discount or special pricing you must select the "I am a small business" when applying for your new service.

Notes

1. Customer/Suppliers, access accounts allows your customers and suppliers selected access to your company via the internet.
2. Web Ledger, includes one owner access account8 per company. If any feature from the next higher Web Ledger service is used within the month, then charges for that higher service is payable from that month.
3.Web Office, includes one owner access account8 per company.
4. Web Ledger Business, excess transactions are charged at the current rate5.
5. Excess Transactions, each and every transaction that exceeds the monthly transaction allowance is charged at a rate of  (monthly base fee/transaction allowance) i.e. for Web Ledger-small business $25/50 = 50 cents; with a minimum charge of 10 cents per transaction.  Each and every transaction exceeding the daily transactions allowance (monthly-allowance/30) * 150% is charged as excess transactions. All free services  are charged at $1 per excess transaction.

Excess Document Data Storage, charged at the rate of $300 per 30 Megabyte per year or part thereof.
7. Excess Inventory Items, charged at the rate of $20 per 10 items or part thereof  per year.
8. Accounts: password based access on a per company basis is provided from $10 per employee per month, or $5 per Customer/Supplier per month with access via service centre, unless otherwise stated. All accounts are licensed exclusively to the named individual and may not be shared. The first five(5) account password resets per year are provided  free of charge. All access accounts are charged for a minimum of 12 months and may not be re-used, or re-instated.

Host Account for SOAP Web Services  (used with Internet API)  each access account @$240 per year/company.
10. All service provisioning is based upon shared/common  infrastructure and resources unless otherwise stated, each company has a separate and unique database.

Transactions: are defined as any action, that produces an entry in Sale, Purchase, Customer, Vendor, Timesheet, Appointment, Document, Contact, Case, Job, Projects, HR, Task, Investment, Asset, Event, Security Register or Payment tables.  All Transaction in excess of the service allowance are charged as excess transactions.5
12. Web Store: when not part of an existing Web Portal, has a once-off set-up fee of $200 or two support incidents, unless otherwise stated. You understand and agree that as VillageMall is subsidising the establishment costs of Web Store, this optional service is offered conditional upon acceptance by VillageMall to provide the Web Store service. The processing of a Web Ledger or Web Office registration, does no constitute acceptance to provide this optional Web Store service. Additional members are charged at the Web Store "Small Business discounted pricing". Each Web Store customer requires a Web Portal Member account.
13. Related company: Additional  Web Ledger-small business company account that has identical owners and or directors as the primary Company. Any related company transactions, are counted towards the primary Company account allowance. The related company has Web Ledger -small business account service level, and storage limits.
14. If the amount of site data transferred exceeds the allocated amount per month, a fee of $1 per MB is charged. Groups of  20 MB can be purchased before start of the billing period in which use is required at a cost of  $10. Some services such as file upload have maximum size restrictions.

17. Pre-Purchase Transactions: groups of 500 transactions can be purchased before start of each billing period in which use is required at a cost of  $25. The transactions expire at the end of the billing period.
18. Excess Email Messages each message submitted for delivery, in excess of the monthly
allowance, is charged at a rate of  5 cents. Each message that exceeds 10 Kbytes may have a 5 cent surcharge applied.
19.  Pay-Per-View - content exposed through the subscription based e-commerce system. VillageMall will receive a commission ( negotiable rate ) for each transaction processed.

24. As there are no set-up or establishment fees, VillageMall requires a minimum period of 12 months for each new account.

28. Reasonable usage: As Villagemall is a shared hosted service, the following is defined as reasonable usage, any transaction which exceed the reasonable usage are charged as additional transactions for multiples of the reasonable usage threshold. Refer to our our Program Policy for details.
29: Web Store-unlimited: Allow you to sell your products within your own Web Store, without any limitations or fees associated with Web Store setup, customer accounts,  item fees or sale transactions. Also includes optional Credit card gateway setup. You pay only 1% of total store sales, billed at the end of each month. This service is subject to approval and acceptance by Villagemall, requires a previous sale history.
30: Internal Usage: Internal company intranet usage, access only by employees, suppliers or partners.
31: Historical Date: Access to historical data, revalue portfolio, or member statement to any date within the last 12 months,  is available for an additional fee from the 1/7/2009.

Compare this with online stores like eBay which charge a listing fee, plus up to 5.27% of sale price; VillageMall charges no listing fees.

Minimum Contract Term: The minimum contract term is twelve months for all services, unless otherwise stated; see Service Agreement for details.

Service class, the number of employees, or customers can be varied to meet your business requirements, subject to our  Service Agreement..
